?I just feel that a healthy employee will be a more productive employee? said Carbullido. ?And so, the American Cancer Society when they brought this idea, I thought it was a great idea and we're very happy to be a part of it. And as you can see from the positive reaction and eager the employees are, they're ready to start!?
Manager Marisha Artero adds everything the employees will be doing will be tracked on their Active For Life website.
?They basically get one point for every minute of physical activity? said Artero. ?So they are keeping track on a daily basis. It totals it on a weekly basis and then again, they have the opportunity to enter information on their nutrition...what they've been eating on a daily basis and track their weight. Really keeping them honest.?
Incentives will also be provided along the way to help with this fitness journey. This is the first Government of Guam Active For Life program. Anyone interested in participating can call the American Cancer Society Guam Office.
